Home Collection Milano
The Client
Home Collection Milano is a Milan dealer in modernariato: 20th-century vintage furniture and design objects, sourced, restored and sold as one-off pieces. The catalogue covers sideboards, chests of drawers, armchairs, sofas, dining and coffee tables, consoles, desks, table lamps, sculptures and rugs, mostly from the 1940s to the 1970s. The shop is in Via Rubens, Milan, and it ships across Europe, the UK, Switzerland and the United States.
My Contribution
I led the migration of the store to Shopify and the complete restyling of the brand's online presence, moving it from an outdated platform to a current e-commerce standard.
The defining constraint of the project is the nature of the inventory: every piece is a single unit. There is no restock, no variant and no repeatable bestseller, and the catalogue turns over continuously. The site was designed accordingly, to make a rotating, non-repeatable inventory navigable, and to give each object the presentation its price requires, through photography, description and a layout that dedicates to a single armchair the space a conventional e-commerce assigns to an entire category.
